AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern men's basketball team lost to 21st ranked Georgia College in their Peach Belt Home Opener Saturday night. The Hurricanes hung tight against a solid Georgia College squad, the Hurricanes started out hot holding a 15-6 lead at the at the under 16 timeout. Kahlon Whitley shot well from three in the first, but Georgia College found it's groove ending the first half with a five point lead.

The Bobcats broke it open late in the second half ending the Hurricanes upset bid.

The Hurricanes will head on the road next as they take on the Saints of Flagler College, looking for their first conference win of the season.
