GSW Shoots Its Way to Victory at Flagler

SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Georgia Southwestern men's basketball team bounced back after losing its last game with a 75-63 victory over Flagler College at Flagler Gymnasium.

After trailing at the end of the first half the Hurricanes had an impressive second half as they outscored Flagler by 14 points to close out the game.

Phillip Burwell had a solid game scoring 17 while shooting 70 percent from the field including making both of his three-point shots. Burwell was one of three Hurricanes to finish in double figures in scoring, along with Reggie Raynor who scored 16 points and shot an impressive 75 percent from the field as well as grabbing nine rebounds, and Jordan Johnson ties his season-high scoring 12 points. 

GSW improved its record to 11-11 on the season and 4-9 in Peach Belt Conference play.

Georgia Southwestern will be back home to take on Georgia College  (7-16, 3-11) for the second half of their two-game season series. The Hurricanes won the last meeting to the Bobcats 79-64 at the Centennial Center. The teams will tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday
