Tiger Kings; Canes Defeat Augusta 69-64

AMERICUS, Ga. – The Georgia Southwestern State University men's basketball team defeated in state rival Augusta 69-64 on Saturday night. GSW improved to 6-1 at home this season. 

The Jaguars carried the momentum early outscoring the Canes 36-28 in the first half. GSW made adjustments and were able to outscore the Jaguars in the second half to seal the victory.

Jalen Johnson added another record to his storied GSW career he tallied a new career-high 29 points he connected on seven of his 14 shot attempts, made four of his eight three point shots. Johnson also hauled in five boards, and four assists. Johnson has reached double-digit points in three consecutive games. He leads all GSW players with 12 games scoring in double figures.

JaKwon Moore had an impressive game he scored 15 points he made six of his 13 shots. Moore collected four rebounds, he stole the ball four times, and with five assists, and five blocks.

The final Canes player to score double figures Jaylen Jordon recorded 10 points Jordon had a fantastic shooting performance he made five of his six shot attempts. Jordon recorded four blocks, and four rebounds. Jordon has scored in double figures in two consecutive games.
