Danny Zarzutzki completed his third season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Georgia Southwestern State University in 2023-24. His efforts have aided the Hurricanes into improved win totals each of the past two seasons. The 2023-24 season saw the most wins that the program has had in the past four seasons. In addition to coaching the Hurricanes, Zarzutzki also teaches mathematics at Georgia Southwestern.
 
Prior to his time at GSW, he spent seven seasons as a coach at the middle and high school ranks. Starting in the 2012-13 season, Zarzutzki was the Girls Varsity Assistant Coach and JV Head Coach at Moore County High School in Lynchburg, Tenn. He aided the Lady Raiders in having one of the best seasons in school history going 30-5 with district and regional championships.
 
Zarzutzki spent the following two seasons in the same role with the girls basketball program at Port Charlotte High School in Port Charlotte, Fla. He assisted the Lady Pirates in a district championship and an appearance in the regional semifinals in 2014.
 
During the 2015-16 season, Zarzutzki was the Girls Varsity Head Coach at Fowler High School in Fowler, KS before he transitioned to coach boys. Zarzutzki spent 3 seasons starting in 2016-17 as the Boys Head Coach at Otis-Bison Jr/Sr High School in Otis, Kan. 
 
A Venice, Fla. native, the Venice High School graduate and basketball player, played collegiate basketball at Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Ill. Danny holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Science from Middle Tennessee State University as well as a Master's degree in Mathematics Education from Aurora University. He is married to Sarah Zarzutzki from Great Bend, Kan. and reside in Americus. Together they have six children, Junior, Jaxon, Austin, Cheyenne, Grantley and Shaylyn.
