GSW in 10th Place After First Day of Buccaneer Invitational

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - The 22nd-ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team shot a first round 300, +16, on Monday at the Buccaneer Invitational to currently sit in tenth place out of 14 teams at the Normandy Shores Golf Club.

Nate Gahman led the Hurricanes in the first round as the senior posted a score of 2-over-par 73. Gahman is currently tied for 20th overall in the 84-player field.

Andrew Ritchot and Anders Olsson posted first round scores of 74 and 75 respectively. Ritchot sits tied for 30th while Olsson is tied for 40th in the overall standings.

Host and second-ranked Barry University sits atop the leaderboard after carding a first-round even par score of 284 

Eckerd College's Jeff Evanier leads on the individual side with a first round score of 4-under -par 67.

The second round of the tournament was postponed due to darkness after lightning delay. GSW will return to the links at 8:30 Tuesday morning as the field will finish the second and third rounds of the Buccaneer Golf Classic
