KIAWAH ISLAND, SC.- The Georgia Southwestern men's golf team finished the Newberry College Invitational Tuesday evening in second place out of 18-teams at the 72-par, 6682-yard Ocean Course.

Nicholas Ward shot a 222 (71,73,78) total leading GSW and earning All-Tournament finishing 4th out of 90 golfers. Chris Low tied for 8th shooting a 227 (71, 78, 77) and Anders Olsson tied for21st with a total score of 233 (76, 78, 79). Hayes Dupree shaved twelve strokes off his round two score and ended the tournament tied for 25th with a total score of 234 (78, 84, 72). Fraser Johnston tied for 65th shooting a total of 246 (82, 83, 81).

Limestone College won the Invitational by two strokes and Flagler College came in third being seven strokes behind GSW.

The men return to competition Sunday March 8 at the Southeastern Collegiate hosted by Valdosta State at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
