DADE CITY, Fla. - The 16th-ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team sits sixth at the 20-team NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Championsips after day one of the three-day, three-round event.
The Hurricanes trail opening-round leader No. 3 Lynn by 20 strokes after posting a team score of 296 in Round 1 at the par-72, 7,137-yard Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club.
Hayes Dupree leads GSW with a Round 1 score of 69 on Monday after shooting an eagle on his second hole and recording three birdies. Dupree sits tied for third out of 108 golfers.
The Hurricanes will tee off tomorrow on hole one starting at 12:50 p.m.
