AMERICUS, Ga. - Coming in at No. 2 for the 2014-15 Top 10 Moments in Georgia Southwestern sports is the nationally ranked golf team making it to the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regionals for the third time in four years.

Nicholas Ward, Chris Low, Anders Olsson, Hayes Dupree and Fraser Johnston represented GSW at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City, Fla.

The Hurricanes played May 4-6 in a 3-round, 54-hole tournament against 19 other teams on the par-72, 7,137-yard course.

GSW played in the toughest field of all the NCAA Division II Golf Regional Championships. Of the four regional tournaments, the South/Southeast Region had 18 of the top 26 teams of all 80 schools playing. The other eight teams were spread out through three other regions.

The men posted a 3-round score of 888 to capture ninth in the tournament and finished second of the four Peach belt Conference schools.They also finished second of all the Georgia schools participating.

GSW finished their season with four second place finishes, three broken records, one tied record, one PBC player of the week, two 2nd Team All-Conference and came out ranked 17th in the final Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll
