COLUMBUS, Ga.- The No. 19 ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team is eighth out the 16-team field at the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational after two rounds on Monday at the Country Club of Columbus.
GSW shot a 289 and 292 on the par-71, 6515 yard course to sit 18 strokes back from the leader Lee University.
Ethan Chamineak leads the Hurricanes posting a 72 in Round 1 and shooting 2-under par in Round 2 to sit tied for ninth individually out of 90 golfers. Chamineak is four shots behind the leader Francisco Oliveira from Point University.
Nicholas Ward is tied for 18th after shooting a two round score of 144. Tyler Barker shot 5-over par to sit tied for 35th going into the third round. Hayes Dupree shot 73 and 76 to finish day one tied for 50th and Anders Olsson sits tied for 73rd after posting a two-round score of 154.
GSW wraps up play Tuesday morning for Round 3 at 8 a.m.
