ALBANY, Ga.- Ethan Chamineak posted a one-under par, three-round 215 to place first of 49 golfers and capture his first tournament win of the season at the Inaugural Hurricane Invitational on Tuesday.
The No. 16 Georgia Southwestern men's golf team posted a three-round 901 on the 72-par, 7024 yard course at Doublegate Country Club to move up one spot and finish second out of nine teams. North Georgia took the win with an 895 overall score.
Nicholas Ward posted a tournament low 74 in Round 3 to move up four spots and finish tied for ninth with a three-round 226.
Hayes Dupree finished two strokes behind Ward posting a tournament low 73 in Round 3 to move up six spots and finish 14th overall.
Fraser Johnston and Tyler Barker, who played as an individual, both tied for 16th with a three-round 232 and Anders Olsson tied for 23rd with a 236.
The Hurricanes are back on the links April 15 for the Peach Belt Conference Championships at World Golf Village Slammer & The Squire Course in St. Augustine, Fla.
