Olsson Breaks Career Rounds Played Record

AMERICUS, Ga.- Senior Anders Olsson played his 109th round as a Georgia Southwestern golfer to set the new golf record for most rounds played in a career earlier this week.

Olsson tied the career leader Nate Graham earlier this season with 106 rounds and passed him with his three rounds at the Hurricane Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

In his four years at GSW Olsson has played in 40 tournaments, recorded 8320 strokes and averaged a 76.33.

His lowest round was a 66 which he shot in Round 2 at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in February of 2013 where he finished tied for second with a one-under par, two-round 141 and helped GSW capture the team title out of 17 teams.

Olsson has two Top-10 finishes, besides tying for second at the Spring Kick Off he placed tied for eighth at the Darton College Doublegate Collegiate in March 2014.

He is part of the Team Low Round Score which is 278 posted at the Buccaneer Invitational in 2013 and the Team Low 36 Score which is 564 at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational posted earlier this season. He is also part of the Team Low 54 which is 849 posted at the U of North Georgia Fall Invitational posted in the fall.

Olsson was selected to the Peach Belt Conference 2nd Team All-Conference as a sophomore as well.
