Olsson Tied For Third; Hurricanes Sixth At PBC Championships

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- Senior Anders Olsson leads the No. 18 Georgia Southwestern men's golf team at the Peach Belt Conference Championships at the Slammer & Squire Course at the World Golf Village.

The Hurricanes posted a 296 in Round 1 on the 72-par, 6939 yard course to sit in sixth of 11 teams and are just five strokes behind the tournament leaders Columbus State who shot a 291.

Olsson birdied two of his last three holes to post a one-under par 71 to sit tied for third out of 55 golfers and is two strokes behind the tournament leader Hubert Tisserand from USC Aiken.

Ethan Chamineak is one stroke behind teammate Olsson posting an even par 72 and shot four birdies in Round 1 to sit tied for sixth.

Hayes Dupree is tied for 18th shooting a 74, Nicholas Ward shot a 79 to sit tied for 45th and Fraser Johnston is one stroke behind Ward with an 80 sitting tied for 47th.

The Hurricanes will tee off Saturday morning for Round 2.
