AMERICUS, Ga.- Georgia Southwestern senior Ethan Chamineak was named the Peach Belt Conference Golfer of the Week by the league office on Thursday.

Chamineak tied the lowest round record in tournament history at the Jay Jennison Cup on Tuesday firing a 66 in Round 3 to move up 12 spots and finish second of 89 golfers.

The Thompson, Ga. native posted a seven-under 209 overall which tied the GSW 54-hole record that was set in 2014 by Chris Low at the North Georgia Fall Invitational.

Chamineak also broke his own collegiate 54-hole record and recorded his lowest collegiate round with his 66 in Round 3.

Chamineak becomes the tenth Hurricane to earn the PBC Golfer of the Week distinction and the first since Low in 2014.
