Chamineak Earns First Team All-Conference

AMERICUS, Ga.- Georgia Southwestern men's golfer Ethan Chamineak has been named to the 16-member Peach Belt All-Conference team Thursday evening at the a banquet in St. Augustine, Fla., site of the 2017 PBC golf championships.

Chamineak has been named First Team for the second year in a row. He is currently ranked 10th in the Southeast region and 31st in the Nation according to the latest Golfstat Relative Rankings.

The Thomson, Ga. native has played in eight tournaments this season and is ranked second in the PBC with four Top-5 finishes and is also fourth in the PBC with a 72.48 stroke average.

Chamineak has been named the PBC Player of the Week three times this season. He earned his first September 22, 2016 after firing a season-low 66 in the third round a the Jay Jennison Memorial to place tied for second of 89 golfers with a three-round, seven-under par 209.

He earned his second PBC POTW on November 4, 2016 after shooting a 69 in the third round at the McDonough Cup to finish tied for second of 96 golfers with a three-round, five-under par 211.

His most recent POTW was on March 16, 2017 after finishing fourth of 93 golfers at the Southeastern Collegiate with a three-round 218.
