COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern senior men's golfer Nix Duncan fired a 1-under par 70 on Tuesday to lead the Hurricanes on Day 2 at the 18-team, 90-player AFLAC/Cougar Invitational held at the Country Club of Columbus. GSW finished the tournament in 16th place with Duncan (219) tied for 37th on the individual leaderboard.

Vincent Norrman shot a 2-over par 73 Tuesday to post a three round score of 218, good enough to tie for 32nd place.      

The Hurricanes carded a round of 291 as a team (885) on the par 71, 6,515-yard course to finish the tournament 50 strokes behind the winner, host Columbus State (835).  

The score of 291 Tuesday was a six stroke improvement after posting two rounds of 297 on Monday.  

Florida Tech finished in second place (845), followed by St. Leo (848), Lee U. (861) and Limestone (861).

Ryan Cahill shot a 1-over par 72 (222) and Oly Brown turned in a 7-over 78 (229) to tie for 55th and 76th, respectively. Elias Birkeland carded a 5-over par 76 to tie for 83rd place (232).
