ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University golf team tallied a score of 303 Sunday to put up a 54-hole score of 901 (+37) and finish in fifth place at the Peach Belt Conference Championship played at the Slammer & Squire golf course.

First Team All-Conference selection Vincent Norrman shot an even-par round of 72 to finish 3-under for the tournament and tie for third place on the individual leaderboard. Norrman was named to the All-Tournament Team after finishing in the Top 5. Johnson Holliday of USC Aiken took home individual medalist honors after finishing 8-under par while Columbus State's Gideon van der Vyver was runner-up at 5-under. Axel Ostensson (USC Aiken) tied with Norrman for third place at 3-under and August Lindvall (USC Aiken) rounded out the Top 5 with a score of 1-under par.   

The Hurricanes 901 team score was five shots off the pace of fourth place finisher and 18th-ranked Lander (896) on the 6,939 yard par 72 course. No. 9 USC Aiken ran away with the team title after posting a 289 to finish 14-under par (850) and beat runner-up No. 11 Columbus State by 14 strokes (864, even par). No. 19 Young Harris took home third place by posting a 54-hole score of 882 to finish 18-over par.   

Tyler Barker carded a 78 Sunday to finish tied for 23rd place while Ryan Cahill shot a 5-over 77, good enough for a 32nd place tie. Wil Hernandez and Nix Duncan both turned in a round of 5-over par to finish tied for 36th place and round out the GSW scoring for the tournament. 

The Hurricanes will await their NCAA Tournament fate when the bracket is officially released on Friday, April 27.
