GSW Golf Hosts 13-Team Hurricane Invitational

ALBANY, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's golf team hosts the fourth annual Hurricane Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Doublegate Country Club in Albany.

Young Harris College defends its team championship on the 7,024-yard, Par 72 course and will be challenged by a field that matches the largest in the tournament's short history.

The Hurricanes are coming off a fifth place finish at last week's 18-team Newberry College Invitational at The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, S.C. that included a loaded field headlined by four nationally-ranked, Top 10 teams. No. 6 Young Harris (896) won the tournament, followed by No. 5 Florida Southern (898), No. 9 Florida Tech (902) and No. 2 Lynn (903).
