Cahill Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State golf player Ryan Cahill has been named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Associations of America for the 2018-19 school year. 

The senior from Ascot, England competed in all 10 tournaments this season while getting six top 25 finishes. Cahill finished the season with a 74.10 stroke average, shooting seven rounds under par as he is currently ranked 138th in NCAA DII by Golfstat. 

Cahill picks up his second GCAA All-America honor after being named to the list last school year. He is one of 540 student-athletes (112 in DII) to be named an All-America Scholar.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA. In addition, they must participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds and have a stroke-average under 78.0 in Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
