Norrman, Hurricanes On Top at Southeastern Collegiate

VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Top ranked Georgia Southwestern golf team leads the pack after day one of the Southeastern Collegiate as they carded a five-under 283 at the Par 72, 7,365 yard course played at the Kinderlou Forest Club. 

Vincent Norrman leads the pack after shooting a five-under 67 to end day one. Simon Estrada sits tied in seventh place after shooting a one-under 71 followed by Chase McLain, who carded an even par 72 and sits tied in 12th place. Saksit Jairak and Cole Madison both shot a one-over 73 as they sit tied in 20th place to cap day one. 

Harry Butler of West Florida and Kevin Johnson of Saint Leo both carded a four-under 68 as they are tied for second place. Montevallo's Charles Wood, Luke Harris of Lincoln Memorial and Juan Giacomi of West Florida all shot a two-under 70 as they sit tied in fourth place at the Southeastern Collegiate. 

No. 14 West Florida sits tied in first place with a five-under 283 card also. No. 16 Saint Leo shot a one-over 289 for third place followed by No. 6 Columbus State and No. 5 Lincoln Memorial, who shot a round of 290 and 292, respectively, to cap the top five teams. 

GSW will tee off for Round 2 of the Southeastern Collegiate Tuesday morning at approximately 10 a.m.
