NORMAN, Okla. — Georgia Southwestern men's golf team picked up one first place vote while also getting 153 points as they sit ranked 17th in the Pre-Spring Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
Peach Belt Conference foe University of South Carolina Aiken received 11 first place votes as they are atop standings followed by Lincoln Memorial, Barry, Lee and Indianapolis to round out the top five.
During the fall, the Hurricanes competed as individuals in two events as Chase McLain picked up his first PBC Golfer of the Week award after shooting eight-under 208 for a third place finish at the UNG Fall Invitational.
The Hurricanes will tee off for their spring slate February 15-16 as Lincoln Memorial hosts the Spring Kickoff. GSW will play in seven total tournaments during the spring, including the PBC tournament to wrap up the season.
