GSW Hall of Famer Makes PGA Tour Debut

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University Athletics Hall of Fame inductee J.P. Griffin made his PGA Tour debut this week at the RSM Classic hosted by Davis Love III on the Seaside and Plantation courses at Sea Island Golf Club.

Griffin shot a 1-under 71 on Thursday, but missed the cut after a 76 in Round 2. Full results are available on the PGA Tour website. Click HERE for the tournament link.  

Griffin earned an exemption to the event by winning the Georgia PGA Player of the Year award.
 
Griffin was on the Georgia Southwestern golf team from 2009-13. He was inducted into the GSW Hall of Fame in 2017. During his collegiate career, Griffin was an NCAA Division II PING All-American, a two-time Peach Belt All-Conference selection and a three-time PBC Golfer of the Week.
