AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's golf team maintained its No. 5 ranking in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll released this afternoon.
GSW has played in two events since the initial poll of the season was released. The Hurricanes finished in second place out of 15 teams in their season-opening event, the Bearcat Fall Invitational, Sept. 12-13, and followed with a seventh place finish out of 20 teams at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate which ran Sept. 19-20. Both tournaments were filled with nationally-ranked programs. GSW has an 8-7 head-to-head record this fall against opponents currently ranked in the Top 25.
