AUGUSTA, Ga. — The seventh-ranked Georgia Southwestern men's golf team posted a 3-over-par 291 in the opening round of the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Friday at the par-72, 7,086-yard Forest Hills Golf Club. Sells led the group with three birdies in the round. McLain and Escobar each posted a pair of birdies. Erik Fogel is tied for 33rd place with a 78.

No. 4 North Georgia was the only team to shoot under par in the opening round of the three-round event with a 1-under 287. UNG finished with a three-stroke lead over Flagler College. The Hurricanes are four shots back.
