A GSW home soccer attendance record was set as 101 fans were at Wednesday's contest. 

The men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Savannah College of Art and Design on Wednesday afternoon in front of a record crowd at Hurricane Field. Freshman Jamie Kiep scored his fourth goal of the season and the lone goal for the 'Canes off an assist from sophomore Sam Hooke.

A couple of early goals paced the visiting Bees. SCAD (2-3-2) was on the board 52 seconds into the match when Ellert Hreinsson dropped a soft cross the middle that Dan Fadida put past GSW freshman goalkeeper Michael Smith.   

In the 16th minute, Karl Solstrom found Ryan Gadhue on another cross to give the Bees a 2-0 lead.

The Hurricanes answered at the 30:45 mark when Kiep found the back of the net to cut the SCAD lead in half before the break.

The score remained 2-1 until the 67th minute when Fadida knocked in a free kick from the middle of the field just outside the box. 

Smith finished with four saves.  SCAD goalie Robbie Wright saved four.  The Bees outshot the Hurricanes 16-8 and led in corner kicks 7-2.

GSW (1-6) is back in action on Saturday hosting #3 Tusculum at 4 p.m.
