AMERICUS - Georgia Southwestern State University head men's soccer coach Warren Russ has released the program's 2013 schedule that features eight matches at home and seven away from the confines of Hurricane Field.

The Blue & Gold open 2013 on the road for four-consecutive matches starting with a trip to Montgomery, Ala. on Sept. 5 for a meeting with Faulkner University. GSW leads the all-time series with the Eagles 2-0, but the two schools haven't met since 2005.

The Hurricanes hit the road two days later to face Florida Tech before making a trip to Mount Vernon on the 11th to meet Brewton-Parker. GSW leads the all-time series with BPC, 4-2, but is 1-3 in the series against Florida Tech.

Peach Belt Conference play for Southwestern begins on Sept. 14 with a trip to UNC Pembroke.

The home opener for Coach Russ & Co. finally comes on Sept. 18 against Concordia College (Ala.). The Concordia tilt kicks off a four-match homestand and a run of eight matches at home over GSW's final 11 contests. The 2012 PBC regular-season champs Lander University visits on Sept. 21, Florida College comes to Americus on the 27th and 2012 NCAA Sweet 16 qualifier Flagler College launches the month of October with a visit on the 2nd.  

After conference trips to USC Aiken (Oct. 5) and North Georgia (Oct. 12), GSW is home for PBC matches with the University of Montevallo (Oct. 16) and Young Harris College (Oct. 19).

The final regular-season road trip comes on the 23rd with a short ride north to meet Clayton State.

The Hurricanes return home to close out the 2013 campaign with the PBC finale against Francis Marion on the 26th and a non-conference rematch against Talladega (Ala.) College on the 29th. Talladega defeated GSW in a double-overtime thriller last fall.

Senior Day ceremonies will take place on Oct. 19 prior to the match with Young Harris.
