Men's soccer loses in overtime to ninth-ranked Young Harris

AMERICUS, Ga. — The Georgia Southwestern men's soccer team gave the Young Harris College Mountain Lions their toughest test yet as they put the ninth-ranked Mountain Lions on upset alert Wednesday night. Both sides battled and put on a defensive showcase with regulation ending 0-0 and both sides not willing to give an inch.

O'Neil Lewis had three saves on the night and the goal by Young Harris in the 99th minute barely got past his outstretched hands.

The Hurricanes, although disappointed in the result, took the 8-0 ninth-ranked Mountain Lions to their limit and look to bounce back on the road at Lander University on Oct. 2nd at 7 p.m.
