AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by the Lander University Bearcats Saturday night. The game was 1-0 for the majority of the match with Lander scoring in the 17th minute. Mauricio Uribe was the shining star of the night for the Hurricanes, keeping them in the game by saving two penalty kicks one in each half.
The game was physical throughout, in total 8 yellow cards and one red card was given out during the match the first five in the game were given to the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes will take on Flagler in the regular season finale before advancing to the conference tournament.
