Hurricanes Fall To Clayton State

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's soccer had their win streak end at two games as they fall to Peach Belt Conference rival Clayton State 2-1 on Wednesday night.

The match was a stalemate until Clayton state scored the first goal of the match and carried an early 1-0 lead.

GSW counterpunched when Lucas Bedleg scored his sixth goal of the season that tied the match for the Canes.

Jubilation from GSW  later turned into agony when the Lakers scored their second goal that put the Canes behind the eight ball.

A strong effort from the Canes in the second half was not enough to prevail despite having chances to tie the match.

The Hurricanes will stay at home for a weekend series as they host fellow PBC rival North Georgia at 7:30 P.M. on Saturday.
