AMERICUS - The No. 2 Hurricane Highlight of the 2013 Georgia Southwestern softball season came when a pair of Lady Hurricane outfielders earned All-Peach Belt Conference second team recognition.

GSW's Hayley Knight was named to the All PBC second team. Sophomore Rachel McElroy, a Snellville Ga. native, earned second team honorable mention honors.

Knight, who led the Lady Hurricanes at the plate with a .353 batting average, earned her first all-conference honor of her career.

The Leesburg, Ga. native finished ranked 13th in the Peach Belt Conference in batting average. Knight also ranked second on the team in stolen bases (8) and second in runs scored (29).

McElroy, a native of Snellville Ga., also earned her first all-conference honor of her career as the sophomore earned Second Team Honorable Mention.

The fellow outfielder batted .301 for the Lady 'Canes this past season.
