COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern softball went scoreless as they were defeated by the University of Montevallo 3-0 in the first game of the Cougar Classic Saturday evening.

Game 1 L, 3-0 Montevallo 

Morgan Mullin had a solid day going 2-for-3 behind the plate. She also had a good game defensively as she threw out two runners trying to steal second base. Zoe Willis had a strong pitching performance until she got into trouble in the sixth inning as she gave up 10 hits and three earned runs which eventually gave UM the victory. 

The Hurricanes will face off against Montevallo in game two first pitch at 1:30 p.m. And will close out the tournament by taking on Tuskegee University at 3:30 p.m.
