Offensive Onslaught Gives Canes the Win Over Flagler

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern softball team extends its winning streak to five games as they defeated Peach Belt Conference opponent Flagler College 15-2 in five innings Friday night at Lady Canes field. 

Lacey Rutledge had a monster game as she grabbed three hits in her four at-bats scored three runs and knocked in two RBIs. Zoe Willis and Ansley Duffey hit home runs for the Canes Willis hit hers to center field, scoring two runs and Duffey hit one to left field, scoring two runs for GSW.

The Canes were hitting on all cylinders last night scoring four runs in the first inning they were able to get out of trouble in the second inning when Flagler scored their only runs of the game the Canes were able to close the game out handily at that point. 

 Zoe Willis started the game for the Canes and was taken out in the second inning allowing two runs and two hits she will remain 6-2 on the season.

Savana Bradford improved to 8-1 on the season she came in relief for Zoe Willis and pitched four innings gave up no hits and stuck out two batters. 

GSW will be back home to face Flagler in a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
