YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - Cierra Duhart posted her second double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team past Young Harris on Thursday afternoon, 72-55.
GSW defeated Young Harris, 75-50, at the Storm Dome on Nov. 20.
The Lady Hurricanes shot a sizzling 59.3 percent from the floor in the first half on Thursday and finished the contest at 53.2.
Terra Branch joined Duhart with a game-high 15 points for GSW (6-3).
Nikki Winn led Young Harris (1-5) with 12 points. Lauren Smith chipped in 11 and Miata Askew added 10.
The Lady Hurricanes outrebounded the Mountain Lions, 33-28, and finished with a 54-20 advantage in points scored in the paint. GSW also led in points off turnovers, 35-17.
The Lady Hurricanes are off until Jan. 3 when they host USC Aiken at 5:30 p.m.
