After a back and forth first half, Albany State used a strong second half performance from April Thomas and a 58-36 rebounding advantage to pull away from Southwestern in the second.

Thomas finished the night with 18 points, 15 coming in the second half, as ASU improved to 1-2 on the season. Forward Keedemya Cooper snagged 14 rebounds for the Golden Rams.
