SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Georgia Southwestern Lady Hurricanes' quest to halt a four game losing streak never got off the ground Monday evening, as an abismal Lady 'Cane shooting night contributed to a historically low scoring performance in a resounding 79-36 defeat at the hands of the Pirates.

The 36 points is the lowest scoring output by any GSW team since Southwestern joined the Division II ranks and lowest in program history since 1999.

The Lady Hurricanes were held to a measly 20 percent shooting (12-of-59) on the night and were outrebounded by Armstrong, 53-36.

The 43-point loss is the worst defeat since a 44-point setback to Francis Marion on Feb. 7, 2009.

Jasmine McSwain proved to be the only bright spot for the Lady 'Canes as the forward continued her strong rookie campaign by notching 16 points and pulling down six rebounds for GSW (3-13, 1-8 PBC).

Pirate guard Tyler Carlson led all players in scoring with a season-best 17 points for the Pirates (7-8, 2-6).

Georgia Southwestern returns to the court Thursday evening for the third game of their four-game road trip as they travel to North Georgia for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
