Lady Canes Take Care of Business in SAC/PBC Challenge

NEWBERRY, S.C. -- The Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team defeated the Mars Hill University Mountain Lions 81-54 Friday afternoon. The Lady Canes started slow leading for only the last 11 seconds of the first half. In the final minute of the first half, Jacquelyn Levay put the Lady Cane offense on her back by making three straight from beyond the arc to finish the half scoring the final nine points for GSW, giving them a five-point lead at the break.

In the second half, it was all GSW as the Lady Canes outscored Mars Hill by nine in the third and 13 in the fourth to close out any hope for the Mountain Lions.

Kayla Langley led the Lady Canes in points, scoring 17 while adding nine rebounds.

The Lady Canes are back in action tomorrow afternoon against the host of tonight's game, Newberry College.
