Lady Canes Sleigh Brewton-Parker for Seventh Win

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team defeated Brewton-Parker College for their seventh win of the season on Monday night. The game was all Lady Canes, all the time, as GSW never trailed during the game and won by a 50 point margin. This was the second time this season the Lady Canes have won by that margin.

The Lady Canes offensively shared the basketball better than they have all season with 23 assists matching their season-high from their game against Middle Georgia State. GSW paired that great passing with a solid shooting night, shooting 52.2% from the field overall, and 52.3% from beyond the arc.

Jolicia Williams and Jacquelyn Levay led the team in both scoring and three-pointers made. Jolicia Williams finished with 26 points and eight rebounds both totals are a season-high in her first season at GSW. Jacquelyn Levay tied her season-high in three-pointers made and also scored a season-high 20 points in the win.

Daelyn Craig made her first start of the regular season and finished with a double-double, having 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The win marks the Lady Canes final tune-up in preparation for the start of a tough conference schedule that will begin Thursday night, on the road, against the University of South Carolina at Aiken Pacers. The Lady Canes will then return home for their final regular-season non-conference matchup.
