AMERICUS, Ga. – The Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team struck gold on Thursday night in a 78-36 rout of Albany State University in the Storm Dome. 

The Lady Hurricanes had three players score in double figures. Lexi McCully scored a team-high 12 points adding two assists, and hauled in three rebounds. Destiny Garrett added 11 points. She was a force on defense with four steals and chipped in three rebounds. Shane' Jackson had a career-best 10 points. She was perfect from the field connecting on all five of her shot attempts.

• GSW outscored ASU 26-5 in the third quarter to match the largest margin in a quarter (21 points) in program history
• The Hurricanes allowed the second-fewest points in a game this season and third-lowest total in program history
• The average margin of victory over GSW's current three-game winning streak: 39.7 points 
• Lexi McCully scored in double digits for the third consecutive game
• GSW extended their winning streak against the Golden Rams to nine consecutive games
