Striking Gold; Lady Canes Rout Albany State 78-36

AMERICUS, Ga. – The Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team struck gold on Thursday night in a 78-36 rout of Albany State University in the Storm Dome. 

The Lady Hurricanes had three players score in double figures. Lexi McCully scored a team-high 12 points adding two assists, and hauled in three rebounds. Destiny Garrett added 11 points. She was a force on defense with four steals and chipped in three rebounds. Shane' Jackson had a career-best 10 points. She was perfect from the field connecting on all five of her shot attempts.
