GREENWOOD, S.C- The Georgia Southwestern Lady Hurricanes were on the road to face Lander University this afternoon.

Lander was quick to put their first point on the scoreboard scoring in the first five minutes.

Sophomore goaltender Chelsee Wright was able to hold off Lander with four saves before they scored their second with a header at the 26:40 mark. Chelsee took on Lander's fire a few more times and got a few more saves before another header went in the goal at the 41:36 mark. A few minutes later Lander got their fourth goal with another header off a corner kick.

Lander scored their fifth goal five minutes into the scond half. The Lady Canes were able to hold off the Lady Bearcats for most of the second until the 79:08 mark when Lander scored their sixth goal.

Chelsee Wright made a total of thirteen saves during the game.

The Lady Canes are home on Tuesday September 23 for their Faculty/Staff Appreciation game. They take on the West Alabama Lady Tigers at 3:30pm.
