Lady Canes Finish Regular Season Against UNG

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team finished their 2021 regular season Saturday Night, losing to the University of North Georgia 2-0. The Lady Canes had a barrage of chances early in the game but couldn't get it past UNG goalkeeper Peyton Satterfield. Although allowing two goals, Grace O'Shaugnessy had 8 saves and had a solid performance overall. The back line for the Hurricanes deflected four different shot attempts away from the net as UNG took 19 shots overall and 12 shots on goal.

The Lady Canes will continue this historic season by earing a spot in in the Peach Belt Conference tournament, just another first for a program who was picked to finish dead last in pre-season coaches polls.
