Georgia Southwestern head women’s basketball coach Hana Haden and tournament Most Outstanding Player Ndidiamaka Ndukwe discuss the 79-62 victory over Carson-Newman University to capture the Southeast Region title and advance to the Elite Eight of the NCAA DII Tournament in St. Joseph, Mo. Ndukwe scored 21 points in 26 minutes in the championship. She scored 18 in the region semifinals against Catawba. Over the final two games, she hit 7 of 9 from 3-point range. She shot 60 percent overall during the regional.
Georgia Southwestern head women’s basketball coach Hana Haden and senior Kayla Langley discuss the 88-63 victory over Catawba to snap the Indians 34-game home winning streak and advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Kayla Langley posted a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to become GSW’s all-time NCAA era leader in double-doubles with 13 during her career. Langley also eclipsed 1,000 points in her career with this performance.
