COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University forward Josiah Shackleford scored 30 points but it wasn't enough as the Hurricanes lost, 94-89, at 24th-ranked Columbus State University Wednesday night in a Peach Belt Conference matchup inside the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center.
GSW closed within 89-85 with 1:33 left as Shackleford made a layup assisted by Lars Nilsen. Colombus State guard Wisdom Uboh hit a jumper to make it 91-85 with 44 seconds left, sealing the game for the Cougars.
The Hurricanes found themselves in foul trouble early having starters Matt Ansah, Nilsen and Shackleford with three fouls each in the first half. Ansah would later foul out with three minutes remaining.
Columbus State Guard Jarrett Adderton led all scorers with 35 points on 12-of-21 shooting and four steals.
Tim Hall Jr. held down the paint for GSW with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting and nine rebounds. Nilsen added 18 points and Ansah contributed 15.

Nilsen drove right and banked in a layup to cut the Columbus State lead to four with 2:01 remaining.
