GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- Two Georgia Southwestern men's golf team players finished in the top-10 to end the UNG Fall Invitational as Chase McLain finished tied for third place while Saksit Jairak finished tied for eighth at the Par 72, 7,043 yard course.
McLain carded a one-under 71 in round 3 for a 208 (-8) final card. Jairak notched a three-under 69 during the final round for a 209 (-7) final score while Payne Sells carded a one-under 71 to sit tied in 63rd place with a 224 (+8) final card. McLain finished the tournament with 15 total birdies while Jairak had 14 followed by Sells, who had seven.
Matthew Leeman's 204 (-12) from Piedmont College finished atop the leaderboard followed by Dan Bradbury, who finished in second place with a 205 (-11) final card. Third place was crowded with five other players, including McLain.
Although GSW was competing as individuals, USC Aiken took home first place with a 837 (-27) total score. Piedmont College and Lincoln Memorial 844 (-20) both tied for second place while Lee and North Georgia rounded out the top 5 teams, carding a 859 (-5) total score.
This concluded the Hurricanes fall slate of the 2020-21 season.
