PEMBROKE, N.C. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University women's soccer team couldn't create chances on the offensive end in a 3-0 loss to UNC Pembroke in front of 109 at Lumbee EMC Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Senior forward Shatyriah Crawford was able to get off the lone Lady Canes shot, forcing UNCP goalkeeper Courtney Almon to make a save after coming on for starter Gina Ryan in the 66th minute. The Braves recorded a 26-1 advantage in shots and took seven corner kicks while keeping GSW from taking a corner at the other end.   

Lady Canes goalkeeper Sammie Conley made 11 saves on the 14 UNCP shots on goal, giving her 63 saves on the season.

GSW falls to 0-7-0 on the year and 0-3-0 in Peach Belt Conference play with the loss. UNC Pembroke improved to 5-3-0 and 3-1-0 in PBC matches with their second straight conference victory.  

How It Happened: The Braves broke the scoreless tie in the 23rd minute after Stacey Scott scored on a header into the box off a corner kick from Kristina Stevenson, her second goal of the season.

After the two sides went to the locker room at 1-0, Scott added the second UNCP goal in the 62nd minute as she one-timed a blast from the box past Conley and into the back of the net.

UNCP tallied their final goal in the 89th minute when Kimsey Collins received a pass from Jillian Robson and went far post from the top of the box for her first goal of the season.
