Hurricanes Dominate Wesleyan 7-0, Continue Best Start in Program History

AMERICUS, Ga.— The Georgia Southwestern State University women's soccer team put on a show at a rain-soaked Hurricane Field Wednesday night. GSW was too much for the Wesleyan College Wolves to handle as the Hurricanes scored seven goals in a 78-minute shortened match. The Hurricanes had five goals in the first half. Zyandra Thomas (12',16') led the team with two goals.

GSW controlled possession throughout the game and never let up until both coaches agreed to call the game in the 78th minute due to heavy rain.

The Hurricanes improve to 4-1 on the season and will begin Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday at Lander University at 7 p.m.
