Karlie Levering enters her first season as the head women’s tennis coach at Georgia Southwestern State University after spending the last six seasons as the volunteer assistant softball coach for the Lady Hurricanes. Prior to her arrival at GSW, Levering served as the assistant softball coach at South Georgia State College (2016) and a graduate assistant softball coach at her alma mater, the University of North Georgia, where she helped lead UNG to its first ever National Championship at the 2015 D11 NCAA Championship in Oklahoma City. The coaching staff was recognized as the NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year (54-8) for 2015, as well as landing a spot in the UNG Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021.
Levering was a member of the Saints, now Nighthawks, that made NCAA appearances in 2012 and 2013. She also made First Team All-Conference for the Peach belt Conference in 2012 and 2013 after hitting .329 with seven home runs in 2012.
Levering received both her undergraduate (2014) and graduate (2016) degrees from the University of North Georgia in Physical Education and Leadership.
