Runner-Up Finish For GSW At Cougar Invite

COLUMBUS - The Georgia Southwestern women's cross country team finished in second place at the Cougar Triangular hosted by Columbus State University on Friday evening. Ashleigh Owens paced the Lady Hurricanes by finishing the two-mile race in 13:12 for second place out of 18 competitors.

Victoria Hickom crossed the finish line second for GSW with a time of 13:16, good for third place overall, while Lauren Ard took seventh place with a time of 13:34. Daria Woods finished in 13:50. Shelby Parsekian took 10th in 14:12 and Anneliese Leahy posted a time of 14:43.

With 25 points, host Columbus State edged GSW (30) for the team title. 

Tiera Roberts from CSU crossed the finish line first overall with a time of 13:08.

The Lady Hurricanes return to action Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Peach Belt Conference Championships hosted by GRU Augusta at Barton Field in Fort Gordon, Ga.
