Shivers Leads GSW At Brickyard Invitational

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — JK Shivers led the Georgia Southwestern State University women's cross country team in the first race of the fall, at the GMC Brickyard Invitational, on Friday evening. Shivers paced the Hurricanes by completing the 5K course at Council Farms in 33:52.6, to take 61st place out of 83 competitors.

Maggie McDonald crossed the finish line second for GSW on Friday with a time of 33:53.1, good for 62nd place. Madison Griffis (34:01.0) and Maya Boynton (34:58.0) followed for the Hurricanes in 63rd and 67th respectively.

The Hurricanes finished with 290 points, 62 behind ninth-place Clark Atlanta.

Jada Warren from Clayton State crossed the finish line first overall with a time of 21:20.3
