Hurricanes Break Even against Clayton State

AMERICUS, Ga. — The Georgia Southwestern Men's Soccer team tied the Clayton State Lakers 1-1 Wednesday evening. Both teams scored their first goals in the first half with Chris Salamatou (23') putting a penalty kick to the right of the keeper which evened up the game early.

Both teams' defenses locked in and for the rest of the match, neither side was able to find the back of the net during regulation and overtime. Mauricio Uribe and the defense held strong and kept the Lakers at bay with Mauricio saving 5 shots during the match.

The Hurricanes will be on the road next as they travel to play North Georgia this Saturday at 6:00 pm.
