League-leading Flagler Holds Serve at Home

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference defeat at Flagler College on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints improved their league-leading record to 6-1-1 overall and 3-1 in the PBC while the Hurricanes dropped to 3-2-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Flagler opened the scoring with a header off a corner kick in the 12th minute and maintained its 1-0 advantage into the halftime break. Insurance goals in the 65th and 78th minutes provided the Saints with their three-goal margin.

The Hurricanes put three goals on target and took four corner kicks in the match, but were unable to find the back of the net.. 

GSW continues to look for a way to knock off Flagler. The Hurricanes are winless in 21 meetings all-time between the programs.

The Hurricanes return home to host the University of South Carolina Aiken (3-2-2, 0-2 PBC) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
